LOCATION: The Mart
We are now at the site of the former Animal Mart on Union Street. The site is now occupied by the Hinton Court residential home.
While enjoying the audio, follow the trail route northwards along Union St, left onto Walkers Row for a few yards, then northward again on Auckland St where you will see our plaque bearing an image for the site of the Workhouse, which later became a hospital.
