UK Town of Culture

There are many people doing wonderful creative work in Guisborough. By working together and promoting each other’s work our creative community can publicise, showcase and celebrate our work so that everybody gets the recognition they deserve.

Creating a bid for the 2028 UK Town of Culture award will need us to bring together and develop all the skills required to run a year-round programme of excellent cultural events, expressing our unique stories.

If shortlisted, we will be given £60,000 to develop our bid. If we win, Guisborough will be awarded £3 million, or £250,000 if we are a runner-up.
